Something special is coming to District 205!
We are excited to welcome Stefano S. McGhee, DTM, 2026–2027 International President of Toastmasters International, as our keynote speaker at the District 205 Annual Conference on Saturday, May 8, 2027.
It’s not every day that we have the opportunity to hear directly from the leader of our global organization. We’re looking forward to bringing our Toastmasters community together for a day of learning, inspiration, connection, and celebration.
Meet Stefano S. McGhee, DTM
Stefano knows firsthand the difference Toastmasters can make. A Toastmaster since 2005, Stefano has spent more than two decades developing his communication and leadership skills while helping others grow along the way.
A member of Network Voice Toastmasters in Weymouth, Massachusetts, McGhee has served in numerous leadership positions within Toastmasters International and earned the Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) designation, the organization’s highest educational achievement.
Outside Toastmasters, McGhee serves as Senior Director of Technology Operations at Harvard Business Publishing, where he leads teams responsible for maintaining the technology systems that support critical business applications, including Harvard Business Review.
His belief in the value of Toastmasters is captured in his own words:

The Road to the World Championship of Public Speaking
The conference will also feature the District 205 International Speech Contest, where the top speakers from across the District will compete for the championship title and the opportunity to advance to the International Speech Contest quarterfinals.
Those who advance through the quarterfinals will compete in the semifinals at the 2027 Toastmasters International Convention in Paris, France, August 18–21, hoping to earn a place in the World Championship of Public Speaking.
District 205 will be cheering on our champion every step of the way! After Aaron Samson earned third place at the 2026 World Championship of Public Speaking, could another District 205 speaker reach the world stage in 2027?
